universal credit
Hi just a query as I am abit stressed out on my U.C review telephone call I am having later this month.I have already shown my 4 months bank statements and proof of savings etc(less than 6k),and I receive u.c with LCWRA with that.
My query is some months i have had some money left over from previous monthly payments from month before, and I dont know if this will go against me,amounts are small. Not every month, but I dont eat very much as I suffer from depression, anxiety and on the waiting list to be a assessed. My u.c 4 weeks covers from 20 th (previous month) to the 19th of payment month. So what dates will they cover for money in my bank please.
I am really worried about this so any help or advice I would be grateful thankyou.

UC is a monthly benefit, not 4 weekly. Providing your total capital didn't go over £6,000 then you'll be fine. Any money you receive that is unspent at the end of your next assessment period, becomes capital. The last day of your assessment period is 19th of every month.

Thankyou Poppy for your reply,so just so I understand properly for example if I have £100 left on my last day of assessment period but it doesnt take me over what is allowed in savings (6k) the 100 pounds is ignored?
Thankyou

Hi to all,
As mentioned above my u.c review is happening this month over telephone,I know they will ask about pay pal account, and my balance in there is zero, infact I have not used the account in over a year. But how will I show the dwp prove of this?

If they ask for proof (they don't always), you can log onto PayPal and generate a pdf statement for the time period they want.
You then log into your UC account, and upload the pdf file via your To Do list.

As long as it's not 6000 or over it is ignored. I do feel for you as I've got one coming up this week and I also have crippling anxiety. Everything feels like a worry with UC.

Hi to all,
Just wanted to say to people that are due a universal credit review coming up,dont worry too much on it.I had mine today and it was not as bad as I feared,I just had to download abit more info for them and send it over.
At the end of the questions etc they asked me if i found the 1st part of downloading bank statements/photo i.d easy or hard(feedback question I think),I just said the photo i,d was the most I struggled with.
So please dont worry, but mention if you dont understand anything and they will help you.
