Hi, my name is amir1234! Motability car possibly being taken away - appeal?
I have a very important question if anyone can advise me on this my father had a toothache very bad one and my brother has taken him to the dentist but he’s not under insurance. It was a panic moment. I was not at home neither My Wife because of both of us are insured now I informed Motability about this and they said that we have to take the car away and they sanctioned us for four years. I still have the car in position and they said we will get in contact with you in two weeks by letter, but so far nothing has came through the post. Is there any possible way that I can appeal against this? Although I have made a mistake? We are human and we do make mistake and it was a state of panic.

Hi @amir1234 and welcome to the community. Having looked on the Motability website, I found this:
"We take misuse of your car very seriously. This means things like:
If we find you’re misusing your car, we might terminate your lease, stop you from getting another Scheme vehicle, and send you the bill for any repairs or estimated loss in its sale value."
I couldn't find any information about appealing unfortunately. I would recommend calling them directly so you can explain the situation. Their customer service number is 0300 456 4566 and they are open on Saturdays until 5pm.
Let us know how you get on.
