I woke up to this article. I've been physically disabled from a young age. I can only deteriorate. The stress of the change from legacy benefits ro ESA and DLA to PIP damaged my mental health. I don't know how I can cope either physically or psychologically with another "attack".

The Tory leaning papers that 'inflate' issues, they try to create a lot of 'noise' i.e. The Daily Mail, The Daily Express etc. No doubt their readership has 'dwindled' somewhat since the landslide Election victory.

If you have illnesses, you have illnesses. The Labour Government made loud noises about 'Austerity', they will not be doing that again.

Whatever they do, they need to improve the lives of 'vulnerable' or otherwise.

It's the comments on these newspaper articles from the general public that get my rage up.

They all know someone who claims benefits but "shouldn't", they begrudge the person a weeks holiday a year,They seem to know the ins and outs of their daily lives, The hateful rethoric towards the sick and disabled is abhorrent.

Are we to wear a sign now explaining our health conditions, to state, "I'm only out for the first time in two months, please forgive me for living".

I am sick to death of these ppl swallowing the nonsense and belief we all live the high life. I had my first break inland this year ,after not even a day trip for thirty yrs. I went with my folks and pooch. Beach was right in front of where we stayed in a cottage. I sat on a rock and let my doggo run. I could barely make it to and from.

They'd have us all in the poor house chained to a wall if they could. Something needs to change and fast. But I'm not holding out much hope we'll be looked upon any better any time soon. Aging population, post covid, NHS on its ass bones ,can't get to see a GP for toffee But we're the problem. Dear God,where did people's compassion go.

Compassion went when austerity came in. People will blame the most vulnerable when things are going bad because certain politicians, mouth pieces and media tell them it’s their fault. When it’s the opposite of course. What annoys me is Labour have bought into these lies and are pretty much continuing austerity. Hopefully they will be better than the previous lot but I don’t hold out much hope.

@Ralph definitely, the things I've heard and seen re the disabled is tantamount to severe discrimination.

But Hey we fight on as best we can.

I've shed enough tears over this, I'm not sad or scared anymore, just angry and I've gone into fits of rage about this media driven hatred of people on benefits, like it's a privilege to be physically and or mentally disabled, it's not, it's a living hell where you just exist rather than live.

I hate these people, it takes a lot for me to hate but I truly hate these people with every fiber of my being because these people are cowards and they make me ashamed, truly ashamed to be British and I hope what goes around comes around for them.

I'm exhausted, fed up, I feel horrific and lucky if I get part of a day feeling reasonable.

I know many of you feel likewise. But this utter charade has plunged me to a new depth.

They've brought our contempt on themselves.

We did nothing to deserve theirs.
