How difficult is it to get your medical records?
Do I just ring the gp surgery up and ask them for them? Does anyone have the nhs app and have full access to their notes that way? Will I be questioned for asking for them? Ty x

Hi I don't know the exact answer but my GP online shows my medical record for about the last year. I actually wanted to do the same and get full records for myself. I'm just going to call the GP and I doubt you would be questioned. Even so, if they ask when I call I will tell them it is for an ASD assessment I have next week. Sorry I don't know the exact answer to your question but I'm pretty sure they can't refuse?

Actually I just remembered I tried to go online on the NHS app before to do it! But I don't have photo ID so it says I have to do this....
Not sure if that helps at all.

Hi @Dendoo
At my GP surgery, you can just ring up and ask for your records(usually have to wait a week or so for the printouts) and I haven't been questioned for asking for them yet. It's been fairly easy.

I have the NHS app but it only goes back a few years in my medical record. You have a legal right to your full record and they shouldn't question you about it. It's your information, and you have the right to request it.
