Have you put up your Christmas decorations? ๐

It's exactly a month until Christmas Day, woohoo! ๐ ๐คถ
We were wondering, have you decked your halls with Christmas cheer, or is November a bit too soon? The online community team are currently divided, with some thinking it's way too early and some that already have their decorations up!
What do you think? Pictures of decorations are very welcome ๐

Not yet, but I recently mentioned in another discussion that mine are going up next weekend.
@Nightcity, I know you've got your tree up. I would love to see pictures if you're happy to share? No problem at all if you'd rather not ๐

A bit early for me yet.

All the public decorations are up where I live, but I don't put ours up until December. Too early for me!
Usually the first weekend of December is when I get ours set up. I love decorations but for me it feels like it drags it out too much to have them up any earlier than that. Can't wait for all the sparkly lights when the time comes though ๐

I like the colours @Nightcity, I bet they really light it up in the evening. I switched from a white to a green Christmas tree last year and I've been regretting it since, I much prefer the white ones.

I only have a tree no other decorations as it is all I have and I can't buy anything else but it's going to be my last Christmas with my daughter so I put it up weeks ago to make the most of it, she loves the lights and colour so we sit next to it each day for cuddles

Cuddles by the Christmas tree sound lovely. I can imagine those moments mean a lot to you and your daughter and although it's early, I really want to wish you both a Christmas full of love and happy memories.

Mine are all up & have been for over a week!
I absolutely love the lights & decs, they're what I like about Christmas, last year I wasn't in the mood, so didn't bother. A few lights go up about now, as it's my BD, well I have the full Monty this year. All because my darling pup chewed through the control on my riser chair. ๐ค I ordered a replacement control, didn't work, so my B-i-L & nephew came over & brought my old one (that I'd actually kept as the just in case back up) out from the bedroom, phew! Whilst here, they got my out & tree up & put the lights on & then the lights up around the room & put together my Xmas lamp standard. The decs & extras I gradually worked through. So, I'm sat here in Xmas light bliss, not everyone's cup of tea, but I love it. I think my sis had a word with them after last year & I must admit, I'm so glad she did. ๐๐

25th November is when I lost my dad so it's not a happy time for me. I felt orphaned that day and knew my life had changed forever. On the first anniversary I heard nothing from my family and of course I heard nothing yesterday.
25th December is a family day and all about children, fun and festivities. I do enjoy all the sparkly lights on balconies and in front gardens in the build up to Christmas but these two dates are best when they're behind me.

I bet that's magical @JessieJ, sounds like you had a full Christmas dec squad getting you set up ๐
Sorry to hear that Christmas is difficult for you @WhatThe after all you've been through with your family. It can be a bit of an in-your-face holiday especially if it's connected to some difficult times. I hope you manage to get through it all okay this year.

A couple of days to go for us. As much as I love xmas, I do think people can suffer from xmas fatigue from putting decorations up too early.
Plus the later we put them all up, the less time the dogs have to trash things. ๐0 -

Rosie, I didn't want to spoil a happy post with my sadness but have no-one to talk to about it.
It's always hard for me to separate these two dates. I will put up some lights in December and always enjoy a post-Christmas opening of presents with my daughter. She spends it with an extended 'normal' family on her dad's side then her bf's family then me ๐
This is the 20th anniversary and I've already watched some of the tsunami footage from Boxing Day that year. I remember thinking that with the whole world in shock, nobody would notice my personal disintegration and distress when I returned home and had to face the public.
