Hi @emma85, have you just requested a letter because you lost the old one, or is there another reason?
Under most circumstances, your carers allowance should continue as normal while you wait for your new letter 😊

I requested a copy of the letter last Monday.tjey do take there time as they don't rush there self's anyway.i don't recieve other benefits like job seekers income support universal credit working tax credit child tax credit.
I only recieve carers allowance for my mum and child benefit for my child.so really thay haven't got to check have they

Hopefully it'll come through soon @emma85. There are some long backlogs sometimes, and it can often take government departments a while to sort things out even if the task seems quite simple.
Fingers crossed you get your letter quickly. Is there anything in particular you need your letter for at the moment?

Hi @emma85, they won't change your claim in any way, they will just send out the letter.

Hi @emma85 if all you asked for was a replacement letter, all they will do is find your account on the system and send out a copy of your entitlement letter 😊

No problem @emma85, it can be worrying to deal with these departments sometimes 😊 Hope your letter comes soon!

Your payments will not stop and they won't review your claim. You've asked a letter of proof, that's all you've done. The letter will be sent and nothing else will happen.
