What are the worst or likely sanctions under UC?

I care for my wife who had a catastrophic brain injury and it looks like the Council think we mispent some Direct Payments on cleaning and hygiene products and UC may want to see this money as 'income' and try and say therefore we were overpaid.If this came to pass what are tge worst sanctions we could face..I'm terrified to be honest as is my wife.

Direct payments are not treated as Income for UC, they are disregarded.
This is to do with your local Authority and not UC.
