Happy December everyone!
Or maybe not as happy as we'd like it to be? ๐ค
December is upon us once again. For a whole month. Until next year!๐
Do we like December or do we just want it gone?

Happy December @WhatThe!
I know I'm not alone in finding this month difficult, and there are many different reasons lots of us feel the same. But, I also get a little feeling of magic when the months tick over to December. Perhaps it's the chocolate from my advent calendar ๐

itโs one step closer to summer!

I think December is going to be good and bad for 2 reasons. The DWP will be in court this month. I'I'm looking forward to seeing how that pans out.
On a sad and personal note, my mam died at Christmas and this'll be her second anniversary.
To cheer myself up, i'i've ordered an advent calendar.
1 -
Ironside, I am sorry to hear about your mam ๐
The advent calendar is a great idea for December! I shall get one tomorrow or as soon as they are reduced ๐
2 -
December can be a difficult month for many reasons. I do though enjoy Christmas day church service and carols.
Happy December @WhatThe

I like the lights & decs, they do lift my mood, if I'm in the mood to have them up! But, my parents birthdays were both in December & both became ill in December too, leading to their passing in the following new years. The one date I do look forward to though, is the 21st, as it's the shortest day & after that the evenings start getting lighter.

I have my advent calendar and have opened the tub of chocolates. It is officially Christmastime. Sort of.
I drag myself towards it, no hurry ๐ three whole weeks to go!
1 -
I hope you're enjoying them both @WhatThe! I have been trying to avoid the tubs of chocolate this year as I get through them so quickly. My excuse is they seem to have shrunk, but I also really, really enjoy chocolate!
1 -
Morgan, the weights have shrunk so these tubs are half empty really ๐ถ
I was once ahead of the game and saved some of those lovely shiny wrappers before they were discontinued! They make colourful tree decorations over fairy lights not that I have a tree this year..
Has anyone else noticed a slightly unpleasant odour with the new paper wrappers? ๐ท
And far too many orange creams?๐ฉ

Oooh I love an orange cream! I really preferred the old shiny wrappers to these paper ones, I hadn't noticed the odour though.
Do you normally have a tree up @WhatThe?
0 -
Ho ho no, I misled you there.. Sometimes I decorate a large plant but usually just hang lights around a book shelf and sometimes keep them there for months โจ
Morgan, you can have ALL my orange ones ๐ there are so many that I may need another tub!

I'm the same with lights! Which chocolates are your favourites @WhatThe?
0 -
Ooo ๐ toffee, fudge and coconut! And yours?
Those beautiful, iconic wrappers should be brought back and the chocolates sold in a cardboard tub. Scope, can you please add this to your 2025 campaigns list?
1 -
Haha @WhatThe, I will pass that on to the campaigns team, I'm sure they'd be on board ๐
The toffees are always my faves in those tubs. Never a fan of the fruity creams!

I have a love/hate relationship with December but all the pretty lights always win me over!!!
I had a tub of celebrations delivered with my shopping today so I'm happy ๐
2 -
Oooooh, it IS chocolate season now, nearly time to break out the After Eights. ๐ค
0 -
My family used to share a small box of After Eights for the whole 12 days of Christmas and we had to ask permission for one ๐คฃ
Imagine that now!
