Statement of reasons

good afternoon,

DWP have received my statement of reasons from the judge explaining why she made the decision to award me PIP.

Does anyone know how long it should take DWP to make a decision on this?

I first applied in May 2023 and it’s completely messing with my head and just want to get this resolved.

Many thanks

Hey @AshleyHall1 Unfortunately we couldn't say how long it'll take, as it can vary. But fingers crossed they wont make you wait too much longer.

I understand how frustrating it must be for you, I waited 2 years for one of my PIP awards and it really does get draining. But the good news is the end is in sight!

    Thank you,

It’s so horrible being made to wait so long and so unnecessary. I don’t know about yourself but it makes me feel like I’m not believed in what I’m saying. I’ve worked all of my life until 18 months ago and now feel like a piece of dirt on DWPs shoes. I’ve wanted to give up on so many occasions but I guess that’s what the DWP want. Hopefully will have an outcome either way very soon but I’m sure they’ll drag it out as long as possible.

    Thanks again

My mum said they hope people just give up, which unfortunately seems to be the case with many. So well done for fighting on, I know it's not easy!
