Spondylolithesis

Hi I have just applied for pip as my condition has worsened recently, I just wondered if there are any other sufferers of sponsylolithesis in the lower back and how you are coping, if you get pip etc? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks Angela

Hello @angieg28.
Lots of people with spondylolithesis claim PIP but remember PIP is not based on your condition, but the support you need. So not everyone with spondylolithesis will be awarded. Have you see the descriptor criteria for PIP? It can help to know what sort of information they are looking for and what is or is not relevant for PIP.

Thank you for your reply, I wasn’t sure which to claim either pip or dla I’m now wondering if I might have been better to have claimed dla. . I can’t work because of my pain and do need more aid/ help but also financial support. I suppose I’ll just see what comes of my claim, thanks again.

Hello @angieg28.
DLA was replaced by PIP for adults and you wouldn't be able to claim this. Are you currently claiming any other benefits?
