PIP/UC Question

Good afternoon,
Just a little question. My husband (who is my carer and gets CA and we jointly claim UC) has recently been awarded PIP (3 year award, moderate/high) so I was wondering if we need to tell UC? Initially we were told my CAB that we don't need to but I thought I'd ask on here. Thank you in advance!

He can tell them but if your UC includes the LCWRA element for yourself then you won’t be able to claim carers element for looking after him.
As you’re already claiming a disability benefit yourself then your UC will remain unchanged as it will have no affect on it.

I've just been awarded LCWRA and I don't plan on claiming CA for him.
