Good morning @Catherine21 Please try not to worry. It will be Spring before we know anything more. Take care.

    @Catherine21

Spring so (March at earliest) for green paper, consultations have to be a minimum of 3 months (June Earliest) They then read responses, White paper then onto process I sent you before

earliest possible change that'll effect your life early 2026.

the existing White paper still has to follow the process also, earliest likely into law mid 2025.

The Ellen Clifford case is in court next week so that'll shake things up also.

As for GP practice work coaches you can't be forced to see one, GPS can suggest it then refer you but not force you and your medical notes can't be legally accessed by a work coach.

hope all this helps you feel calmer again and covers all your current worries..

you’ve certainly helped me this morning! Thank you nightcity. But I completely understand where Catherine is coming from, this is all very frightening!

bless you, I used to be the same as you both and it can be yes, but I'm Getting more and more stubborn and defiant and they won't be stealing any of my peace of mind.

Also note the timelines I gave Catherine are the earliest scenarios using the 1st march first day of spring as the date a green paper could launch and the required 3 month consultation period (June 1st) some consultations sre 16 weeks, but it's not likely they'll launch it on that date so any date after obviously gives an even larger break.

please also remember they are talking to and listening to us because a consultation is NOT obligatory in itself they could of gone to a white paper like the current one for the youngsters.

    Good morning @Catherine21.

Lots of people are worried about the future and it can be hard not to worry, as no one knows what may or may not happen. You're not alone in feeling this way but it's important to try and take things one day at a time and remember that things often work out in ways we don't expect.

Remember to take care of yourself and focus on the things that are in your control.

thank you again Nightcity, can I ask how did you become this way? I’m under review for my ESA (legacy) and the anxiety is eating me up! Would love to become more like you.

I have anxiety so out of control (in general) alongside clinical depression which doesn't respond to anything, I still get ill over worrying about things but not the DWP and the reasons for that are simply they've nearly cost me my life twice before by harassing me.

on top of that my anxiety gives me some pretty nasty physical symptoms and I had to force myself to focus on only panicking about things that can't be dealt with somehow.

The DWP can be dealt with by batting the ball back at them when they bat it at you, know your rights their games etc and knock the threats back at them, they'll always back down first. A good Support network who has your back is vital in my case that's an amazing GP, a welfare worker who is an ex lawyer and my mum who is also my carer and appointee.

thank you so much nightcity, that’s great advice, I am also fortunate to have a few people I can count on if so and so came to shove! But in the past, dealing with them has made me want to end it all and if it wasn’t for my sister helping me with appeals tribunals and everything they threw at me I wouldn’t be here honesty. I do think fighting for yourself is very important but the media rhetoric and the politicians scare mongering can get to you especially if you’ve had to fight for your rights before. Like you said, most of us are not lying most of us have genuine illnesses and desperately need the support so when we do fight back, we do tend to win. I think to help myself I’m going to make a new year resolution to stop reading the news!

I don't watch or read the news often you'll certainly be better off for it, it's all dramatised to scare people anyway.

Certain sources are fine. But I do find Scope very levelling if we get worried.

I avoid looking at fb and newspaper comments, it's not positive or productive.
