after 8 were not even made then we were kids we would pinch sugar beet pulp and cut up a mangold pulled fresh from the field
What is a mangold if I even believe the first bit? π

haha after 8s were not around when i was a young lad and we as kids would go help dad and the farmer to pull the mangolds and roll them over your knuckles to break off the leaves the root was then fed to the cows its a member of the beet family and high in sugar content

life back then was all hands on deck working on the farms animals still had to be fed and cows milked milk had to be cooled in the churns christmas was just another day as for my age its just a number and i will be the same as i always have till my last breath laugh at everything and take nothing to heart or serious

Thanks, @Biblioklept, they deserve it & I do it every year & give them, along with a box of shortbread, as I'm one of the lucky folk to have a fantastic surgery, for which I am extremely grateful.
