πIt's Tree Dressing Weekend! π

This weekend is Tree Dressing Weekend, the recommended time to get your Christmas trees up and getting decorating.
Tree Dressing Day occurs annually on the first weekend in December. It celebrates the importance of trees and encourages us to value and care for them. Tree Dressing Day was initiated by Common Ground, a U.K.-based charity based in Dorset, that has been at the forefront of community conservation and environmental education in England for over 30 years.
Sis put our tree up today without even knowing, so there's definitely something in the air that just screams "Get the festivities underway!" and I think we all deserve a bit of extra cheer this year.
Have you got your Christmas tree up yet? Are you even having a Christmas tree this year?
If so, I'm always up for seeing pics of the Christmas trees looking all pretty. β€οΈ π

I WILL get everyone feeling all merry this year! Even if I'm away for most of the month. π
My dudes are very well behaved, they're really not bothered with anything on the tree.
Now if all the ornaments were dentastix or slices of chicken/ham, then we may have a problem.

We're without you for a month?!? Are you off anywhere exciting?

I'll be back shortly after Christmas and before the new year. But I'll no doubt still be checking in. π
I'm off to Santa's Grotto to work my other job as one of Santa's Elves. The pay isn't great, but I do get all I can eat candy canes.

Bought one of the new Smart Trees that bushes itself up(will take a few more hours for it to be fully filled out), can also control it via WiFi which is pretty cool π
The Warm White Stars & Fibre optics are built in(I really dislike coloured Xmas lights) and all the ornaments are different tones of gold.

They started appearing last year but were quite basic, they can do a lot more now(although they come with a hefty price tag).
The one I have self expands the branches to make the tree look nice and full(takes around 12 hours to fully expand) and the lights have all sorts of weird and wonderful settings.
You can sync the to music or patterns etc too

I made this wreath at a weekly Library craft club. So proud of it so I put it up in one of my kitchen cupboard door.
I only have a small Christmas tree and the manger in the stable. As well an angel on top of a Christmas tree M&S musical biscuit tin.2 -
I love all the Christmas trees photos. I made another wreath and hung it outside my main door.

Wow some beautiful decorations up π I had no idea smart trees existed either, that's very cool. Here's a couple of pictures of our decorations:
I made the little origami stars myself. I live in a house share and so far we have gathered four Christmas trees and a bunch of decorations that previous housemates have dumped in the loft over the years, so we get super Christmassy when the time comes π
