Hi I got awarded lcwra on the 28th of Nov 2024 and my first sick note went in 30th of August can you tell me when my first payment would be please thank you

LCWRA has a waiting period of three full assessment periods, from the date the first Fit Note was handed in. No money is paid or subsequently owed for that period.

August/September: Partial AP, excluded from waiting period.

September/October: AP 1

October/November: AP2

November/December: AP 3

December/January: Eligible for LCWRA element.

16th January: First LCWRA element paid*

No money is owed in backpay.

*If you have Transitional Protection on the claim, it will reduce by the LCWRA amount.

*If you have Carers Element in your name on the claim, LCWRA will replace this as the same person cannot get both.

*If you have a partner on your claim who gets LCWRA, no money will be paid as within a couple the maximum number of LCWRA elements is 1.
