Help

I had a phone call asking for 4 months bank statements however I am the appointee for my autistic son and his money and spending goes into my account and he does alot of online spending. Am I allowed not to give my bank statements because it violates the rights of my son ? I really need some help as my Mental health is at rock bottom. Thank you

Unfortunately UC are allowed with these checks to ask for bank statements.
Many of us have been through one (including myself) and found them intrusive, but they are a condition of claiming UC.
Sharing a bank account does complicate matters.
The checks are to make sure his payments are correct from a financial perspective.
After you submit the information they are looking for, you will have a telephone interview.
You'll be asked a series of scripted questions about other potential sources of money, ISA's, PayPal, property, premium bonds etc.
Then questions about some of his banking transactions, which might not appear to make any sense (mine didn't).
I myself (as capital was over £6k on paper) was then asked to submit individual bank statement pages showing my Cost of Living payments.
I've seen others who were asked for PayPal account statements after the call.
Then I had a journal message saying my review was complete and my payments were correct.

Thanks I've no other accounts, no PayPal or anything. The money I gey from Uc pays the rent and bills for the month but obviously I can't prove my gas and electric as I have meters. It's all going to do my head in, I don't cope well at this time of year to start with.

These things always come at the worst time.
You don't need to prove your gas/electricity as such.
They may ask questions about a cash withdrawal or DD payment, you then answer what it's for such as gas bill etc.
