It’s not quite correct for everyone. Some people that claim UC also work so there may not be any entitlement to Council Tax reduction.
Some people don’t work and claim UC so yes there’s likely to be some entitlement. The majority of working age people have to pay a small contribution for their council tax.
Council tax reduction when claiming UC will be based on your UC entitlement because mostly they will use your UC statement to work out entitlement.
As all Local Authorities have their own rules I won’t be able to give advice on what entitlement there would be when you do migrate to UC.

Some councils treat UC differently to legacy benefits.
However i've yet to hear of anyone previously eligible for a high/full Council Tax Reduction having to pay 100% under UC.
