Do you believe in ghosts ?

Have any of you ever seen a ghost ?
Please post any views on ghosts - whether you are a believer or not.
Why, for example, are there not ghost birds and insects everywhere ?

Maybe there are ghostly insects around @Wibbles, we just can't see them. Maybe we can only see ghosts of people because we're on the same energy wavelength.
Maybe we're living in an absolute sea of ancient insect ghosts and we just don't know it. Actually, I really don't want to think about there being millions of ghostly locusts right in front of my face right now 😂
I'm totally making this stuff up of course, I have no answers really 😁
I'm in the not sure camp. I've not seen a ghost myself, but I wouldn't want to totally rule it out.

Never seen one but that doesn't mean they don't exist. I kind of hope so cos I'd like to come back and haunt a few people; McVey, Stride, IDS, Coffey . . .

I’ve never actually seen a ghost, but I do believe in the possibility of them. I’ve heard many stories from people who have had experiences they couldn’t explain, and it makes me think there’s more to the world than we can fully understand. Over the past few years, there have been times when I have felt like someone was standing behind me in my kitchen. It’s a very real, strange feeling, even though I live alone and knew no one could possibly be there. Experiences like that make me wonder if there’s something beyond what we can see or explain.

Woooo! Ok Wibbles, here's a story… No I didn't really believe in ghosts either, before this happened… Some years ago I was working in an old building on the High Street of our town with a team running a charity. It's an old town and although the fronts of the buildings in the High Street have been in many cases replaced by modern brickwork, inside you find all the old timbers and creeky staircases of the old building. The one we were based in was probably built around 16th century, as most of them were.
I used to maintain the computers there, and one day I had to stay behind to finish software uploads etc after the others had left. It was winter, like now really, and got dark really early. It had been the standard office joke that a ghost used to hover in the corner of the office, rather disapprovingly, although I never saw it when the others were around. They even said a medium had come in and offered to drive it out. Well, I used to laugh it off, and I had no real worries about being on my own there.
But then… the computer was by the front window overlooking the High Street, and as it grew dark I could definitely feel something / someone glaring at me, and getting angrier by the minute. Looking around of course there was no-one there. Finally I felt I could stand it no longer (gone 6pm by that time). It sounds a bit crazy now but you do get that feeling sometimes, that someone is looking at you and you turn around and there they are, usually someone you know…
Anyway…I thought I'd best visit the toilet before leaving, it was a long trek home. The problem was the toilet, up 3 flights of stairs in a tiny attic room. Ok so deep breath, up I went, and honestly the stairs were creaking loudly up behind me, as though I was being followed. They didn't do that in the daytime when you went up and others were around… Never been so quick in the toilet in my life! Ran back down, grabbed my things, locked up and escaped. And put as much distance as I could between myself and the office…
So, do I believe in ghosts? I reckon there was "something", and it was angry. If it was a ghost, maybe it wanted me out of it's house. Anyway I made dammed sure I'd never work there alone again!

Yes i do believe that lets call them evil entities exist and people often through their conscious or unconscious actions let them into their lives and open themselves to their evil actions, there is a channel on YouTube run by a woman a former nun who was almost driven insane by the demons harassment and as well as other testimonies of harassed people described for example in books, what terrifies me that people are sometimes unaware of their actions and it’s not because of my gad

I'm an experienced meditation practitioner ,and i know all kinds of things exist (eek,grab pearls),..which is sometimes spooky,but I know we are well protected..
Animals don't leave "ghosts",cos they go back to the kingdom they are collectively a part of..ants,foxes,owls whatever..domestic pets can and do visit their owners..many people see them..
IIt's A funny old world :=)

But surely Humans are animals too - so why should there be human ghosts but not other animal ghosts ?
Who or what decides whether an animal should be a ghost ?
I've seen "things" too - but I stopped using CBD and the hallucinations vanished !

I was a paranormal investor years ago. I've done so many paranormal nights i can't even rem how many. Not seen anything tangible, but I've had "signs" definitive sounds of past pets and even felt one on particular get onto my bed. So yes I believe. I actually love the idea some people ,animals, are still around.

As a child my grandparents lived in a very very old stone built farmhouse - think hundreds of years and when they retired to a bungalow it was condemned and knocked down.
The stone staircase upstairs led into adjoining bedrooms.
I used to lay in bed watching people standing at the top of those stairs, dressed in old fashioned clothing, I was never scared because I knew they meant no harm.

Not sure about ghosts but the spirit leaving a body when it passes definitely, i used to be a carer in a nursing home (not a job you do for the money) and i was quite close to all i was a caregiver too, i was doing my hourly rounds when i entered the hallway of one of our residences, i got halfway down the hall and all of a sudden felt a huge chill, goose bumps everything go through me, (heating was always on) to find out one of my residences had passed, (not the only time this has happened) i believe she was saying goodbye to me as with the others, no one else felt it, RIP Trixie
Do not pick holes in my experience i warn you i am a witch

I agree, my Mum has been visited by her old dog Jack (Male) many times over the years, even though she has another Jack Russel called Indie(500) (female), not sure if Jack is saying hello to Mum or comes to see Indie

I have been listening to "Uncanny" on BBC sounds and have realised that there are physical explanations for these noises and visions of ghosts - such as mould spores from rotten wood in old houses - these can have hallucinogenic effects.

Yes.we are given warnings sometimes..its just most people can't hear that well..my mother was a nurse and was very psychic..she was always telling my father things that would happen..which he never believed till they did..most irrational he would think..
I once thought I saw The Ghost of Chriistmas Past coming down the hallway ,but it was just the Mother in law,hehe..
Merry Christmas everyone,stay warm and safe..have fun :=)

Yes,animals and plants belong to their collective kingdoms..they're not as individualised as humans (but have great wisdom).
Domestic pets are different and will return to owners after departure..they're often emotionally very close to their owners..
Its a funny old world..universe..thingy..Good though :=)
