Pip telephone review

Your mental health would come under following and planning a journey. The moving around part doesn't apply in this case, unless you have physical conditions.

Hi poppy123456
Yes, that's correct. Thank you for the correction. I have now just received my copy of the health assessment report today. I've gone through it very briefly with my carer for now but my carer has explained the main bullet points, including the scoring points system.
It appears that my total points would tally up to 14 points for DL if the DWP were to go with the assessor report.
Nothing on mobility but that was expected as I had reported no changes to that on my reassessment forms.
Is the 14 points correct?. I'm currently only getting basic DL which I think I received 8 points for that in my initial assessment.
Would this mean that my DL rate will change if the DWP go with the report?
Sorry for all of the questions but I'm just a bit confused on how this all works.
In general, I thought that the health assessor was fair and to the point except for a couple of things that I feel have been really downplayed a bit in her report of me, especially considering how she hasn't spoken to me so can't understand my conditions from just a 4 minutes phone call, but I think that is to be expected as I've heard they do tend to downplay things a bit.
All in all though, apart from that bit, I think she was honest at least on the majority of the points of DL.
Now just the waiting for the actual results. I'm shaking!.
Thanks again all for your help.

If the DWP go with the report, then you would score 14 points for DL & be awarded the Enhanced rate.

Hi Kimmy87
Yes my carer has said the same thing but what I'm thinking is, when I was reassessed, I put no changes but still explaining in detail of my severe anxiety and depression with all the supportive evidence etc.
So since I reported no changes, I'm wondering if they can change my DL rates as it was just a reassessment form.
If the DWP do go in favour of the health assessment report then I'd be happy with that since I'm only getting SDL at the moment. So that would actually be good.
I'm hoping that they do go in favour of the report then.
Just a waiting game now. I'm still extremely anxious about seeing the results.
Thank you again.

Just because it was a re assessment doesn't mean a change in award is impossible.

Ah ok, I see. Thank you Kimmy87. I just wasn't sure if they'd consider putting it up on a reassessment because it wasn't a change of circumstances form.
I'd honestly be happy with even staying on the lower rate but obviously an increase is welcome also.
I suppose it is just all in the DWP's hands now. I don't think I have the energy in me right now to fight a decision though I'm ill with lots of things going on.
So I do hope that they don't just decide to kick me off it instead.
Would it be backdated to the date I was reassessed if it were to go enhanced?.
Thank you again.
I really appreciate that there is forum's like this with support and information to help.

If this was a review started by DWP rather than you ringing to report changes then usually the extra money is paid from the date of the decision.
However, due to the long delays with review decisions a decision maker has discretion to award from an earlier date rather than the date of the decision. Some people are owed some money and others are not. You will just need to wait for the decision to be made to see what happens.

Hi poppy123456
Ok, I got you now :) thank you for explaining.
Yes this was a reassessment review initiated by the pip/DWP as I was up for renewal in 2021. Only just gotten to this point now with an assessment etc recently which I had no idea I had had. Apparently, they do paper based assessments as well so I'm assuming mine was one of those.
It's just a waiting game for me, still. Even though I've read the (to the best of my abilities) assessor report, I'm still very anxious on the final outcome. I wouldn't mind if the decision makers go with my healthy assessment report as I don't think I have the mental energy or physical energy to go to tribunerals ect. I barely leave my home as it is without feeling extremely stressed and anxious.
I'm only on low rate daily living and no mobility currently though and if my assessor report is right, then her points have added up to 14 points for daily living but there is nothing for mobility. It just says not applicable in that part.
Thank you again. I'll keep you all updated .
