Hi, my name is alanevans69! How can I disconnect the speaker on my Unique 500 scooter?
hi my unique 500 is a great scooter , the only problem I’m having with it is the amount of noise it makes when I started up I’m talking about the alarm
has anyone got any idea where I can disconnect the speaker please thanks very much. Hope you can help.

Hi Alan, the alarm is on a metal plate at the rear of your scooter with the 12v converter and the MCU,
under your seat, i believe, i do not know what wire to cut as it has an immobilizer built into it as well so i would just try disconnecting the block connectors and see if it works failing that i would just break the speaker itself without damaging the inside electronics
Be careful not to void any warrantees it has.
I do not have this model myself so this advice is from research and the basic knowledge i do have of these sorts of mobility scooters, I have a JH500, and all the basic electrics are the same as far as i know

Maybe it's worth trying to select and solder a resistor into the speaker cable?

My first association when I saw the frame of this mobility scooter 😁

The whole unit is the alarm and immobilizer built into that little black block, you could try opening it and cutting the wire to the speaker, make sure you insulate it so as not to short out when the alarm sends power to the speaker

My chassis is even worse 😂 it truly does look like a tank,
The whole unit is the alarm and immobilizer built into that little black block, you could try opening it and cutting the wires to the actual speaker, make sure you insulate it so as not to short out when the alarm sends power to the speaker or just cover the holes on it to lower the volume of the speaker
