Motability / insurance
hi all just looking for some answers if anyone has any so I had a car accident back in August but I seen on an email that they will deduct 20% and £399
But what I want to know is do we actually have legal cover and if we do then why isnt the insurance covering the legal fees why is it being deducted from me it’s not like they were in the car accident with me there not the ones who have had to suffer from this
thanks in advance

There's an excess which you need to pay if you make a claim on the insurance. If 21 and over it's £100, if under 21 I'm fairly certain it's £300.
Some legal costs are covered, some are not. It depends what legal costs there is. You can see more information on that here.
The best thing for you to do is ring Direct Line Motability and ask them exactly what those charges are for and they will be able to tell you.
