Hi, my name is missfaffy! Need some information as my husband is a double lower leg amputee

Hi need some information as my husband is a double lower leg amputee and recently has an arthroscopy which resulted in septicaemia. He now has no cartilage in the knee as infection destroyed it and has to use crutches all the time. Tried no win no fee and got turned down. Not sure what to do as his mobility is so limited and used to be very active despite being disabled.

Hi @missfaffy and welcome to the community!
I'm so sorry to read this, you've clearly both had a lot to contend with.
Is it possible to get a bit more detail on the type of support you'd like so I can make sure I point you in the right direction please? Is it with the day to day, healthcare, financial, any other, or all?
Also, I hope you don't mind but I've made a little change to the title of your post just to help others in the community who might have shared experiences to find this, and add input.
All the best,
Holly.

Hi Holly, I haven’t gone into too much detail but my husband also had two DVTS as they took his legs away and encouraged others to get up but not him. It’s really compensation I was enquiring about. Can you apply directly to the NHS.

Hello @missfaffy. Unfortunately we are not legally trained and unable to give advice on matters such as this. I believe a lot of the information you may need can be found on the NHS resolutions website.
There is a section on Who can claim and what is needed to make a claim which may be helpful to you.
