Hi, I'm in my 60s now, on UC and pip , my son who is in his 40s also on UC and pip has become homeless, I have room for him here , I don't have a problem with him coming here, but I need to know how moving him in will effect both out benefits so we can prepare for the changes, my disability is a physical one, but my son has autism, schizophrenia, adhd and lots of other mental health issues, I hope you are all well 😊

PIP will not be effected for either of you.

His UC will not be effected.

If your PIP includes Daily Living, then no non dependant deduction will be made to your UC Housing Element (if applicable).

Hi @denise16 and welcome to the online community!

I can see you've had some great feedback from a community member so I won't add anything more at this point, but please let us know how you get on and if you need anything.

I hope you don't mind, but I've added some of your question to your title just to help others on the forum easily identify your post should they have any input that might help, or maybe they might benefit from your answers if they're having a similar experience.

I hope you enjoy the forum. If you get an opportunity, please do have a look at the categories section. It's great for a social - especially the "coffee lounge" and "games den" area's. 😊

    All the best,

    Holly.
