Text says not to ring DWP but others say to ring them when you get the text. I'm confused
Hi all newbie here. The name is Karen. Just got my text from DWP as others have, but it says NOT to ring them until you get your letter. One or two people on here have said to ring them when you get the text. I'm confused! Lol it doesn't take much! X

Yes the DWP message does say not to contact them, but you are at liberty to do so as others have and ask.

@kimmy87 thanks for that. Like I say I've never been on a site where someone could help like this before. I DID ring up and got a lovely really helpful woman. I first checked to see if I was going to be paid in January, lol, but was confused as to the amount. I was prev on standard for both. So when I eventually got through, she was so lovely and told me that yes my review had been completed and that my review was successful. Also, win win, my mobility had been upgraded to enhanced, so I will be getting some extra money to help, every month. But, shocker, I was supposed to be getting the enhanced since jan 24. This meant that I will be getting a lump sum into my bank at the end of the month. 2k!! So I was nearly crying. The worry lifted off my shoulders, and the money will pay off some bills that I was getting concerned about. Absolutely over the moon. She also advised me to do a check online to see what benefits having enhanced will bring. road tax 100% discount. I urge those with standard rate to check stuff out, because I never knew that you can get 50% discount on road tax, so missed out on all of that for the past 3 years!. My hubby works so we can't get carers, but just happy that we get that bit extra to help with heating.
Sorry this is a long reply. Wishing everyone a merry Christmas and a happy, peaceful and pain free 2025. X
