Dwp know how to ruin Christmas
My mental health is struggling and I'm at breaking point. I have a care coordinator who doesn't respond as I am self harming and suicidal. I have a care assessment half way through and fighting secondary care over my ptsd and reclining mental health.
Then to top it all off post man delivers on the 21/12/24 a letter regarding migration to universal credit from legacy benefits.
I have a fear of phone unable to process info without support and due to anxiety and fear of Internet severe

That is terrible timing for the migration notice. 🙁
Though you do have 3 months to migrate. So you don't need to act on that immediately.
Hopefully you will be able to find someone to help fill in the online form within the 3 months. It sounds like your health is much more important right now.

I am so sorry to hear the stress you are going through. As was pointed out you have plenty of time still to sort this all out. These things are put here to test us to the Max ( I'm sure).Don't give up I'm sure you are a fighter and have a strong character.Sometimes I ask myself "What is the point when there is just more stress that keeps on coming?".But you have a network of support on here x

Hi @charlie79, I'm so sorry to read how much you're struggling.
I know you will know these resources, but please contact Samaritans at 116 123, which is available 24/7. They can also provide emotional support if you're struggling with suicidal thoughts. You can also reach out to Mind (0300 123 3393) for mental health support and advice.
Given your difficulty with phones and the internet, it might be helpful to ask someone you trust to assist with contacting your care coordinator, or you could consider getting in touch with a mental health advocate who can support you with your care plan and help you navigate the challenges with secondary care.
Additionally, if you’re feeling overwhelmed by the universal credit situation, Citizens Advice can support you with understanding your benefits and managing any stress related to this.

The last time my PIP was renewed, the letter was dated 24th Dec and it came between Christmas and New Year - right when the post was limited and there were few agencies available or open to seek statements or any other kind of evidence.
Call me cynical but I don't think this is accidental :/ I'm sorry that you've had this letter right at this time of year.

Not cynical. I was hauled in with three days' notice a week before Christmas one year. I crashed big time.
charlie, really sorry that they did this to you.

@charlie79 if you don't want to speak to the samaritans you can also email them too. They Normally reply between 24-48hrs.( from personal experience). You may not want to reply to any messages on here and that's understandable. But just know that you are cared about that's all x

It's still a stranger on a 3rd party app who I don't know anything about. Scope is the only safe place I mental health can counjour that is safe enough and only.
