Neighbour breached GDPR. ( General Data Protection Regulations) Any Advise?

I own my own flat no rent or mortgage. My neighbour contacted my GP when I overcooked an item in my microwave. I was trying to deal with it when she interfered and called me ungrateful. I had a stroke 7 years ago and broke my ankle 3 years ago.

She has often suggested I move. I do not choose to.
She contacted my GP as she stated she was “concerned” that I was getting appropriate help. Which I do not want. Bunch of ‘carers’ stomping theough being useless.

she is not my next of kin.she Has not spoken to any of my next of kin. Or spoken to me since.

I am so angry. I have complained to my GP as. I feel my GDPR has been breached. Any advise? Sorry I am so angry!

I would contact your nearest Healthwatch and complain about the GP services. I would also contact your housing provider or council in relation to your neighbour

Raising a safeguarding concern is (rightly or wrongly) what your neighbour did.

They would have listened to her concerns then acted upon them, as they are legally obliged to do.

No data or private information will have been disclosed to her when she contacted your GP.

A breach would only occur if the GP shared your personal health information with the neighbour without your consent. If the neighbour simply contacted the GP to express a concern about your well-being, without receiving any of your personal health information in return, that wouldn’t be considered a breach of GDPR.

Thank you for your answers. I think I’m mostly annoyed she didnnt discuss it with me. She’s a complete Karen about everything else. She never helps me with shopping or lifts anywhere or even up to GP when necessary.

When. Husband was sick she promised she would visit. Never did. He died. That was 9th December 2023.

Won’t be taking any parcels in for her now. Bitter and twisted? Yes I am

How does your neighbour know who your gp is? I don't know know any of my friends or relatives, so I certainly wouldn't know my neighbour.

You cant have it both ways "She never helps me with shopping or lifts anywhere or even up to GP when necessary" have you asked, are you friends? Based on this post where she's concerned for you and you are reacting as you are, I probably wouldn't offer to help you for fear of it being thrown back at me.

It sounds like you’re going through a lot right now, and it’s completely understandable to feel upset and frustrated. Your neighbour’s actions seem not only intrusive but also insensitive, especially given her lack of support when you needed it most. Her sudden 'concern' probably feels more like meddling than genuine care, especially with her broken promises to visit your husband during his final days.

It’s completely valid to feel hurt and angry. You’re not obligated to accommodate her parcels when she’s never really been there for you. You have every right to set boundaries especially when she has demonstrated such a lack of compassion and respect towards you.

As a widow myself, I truly understand how vulnerable and difficult things can feel, especially at this time of year. It’s only been a year since you lost your husband, so everything must still feel very raw. I’m sending you a big virtual hug. xx

Thank you. That’s exactly how I’m feeling. I would have appreciated it more had she talked to me about her concerns… meddling… that’s how it feels! Not genuine concern…. Thank you for virtual hug it helps!

My GP called to ask me if I needed help as someone had contacted them to raise a concern. It was only my neighbour who could’ve contacted my GP.
i have not been able to speak to her since to voice any concerns or to speak to her about her concerns.

I do not expect anyone to help me but don’t expect them to treat me like a **** either.
