House of lords

Whether Starmer’s decision to appoint 30 new Labour peers is a good thing depends on your perspective, Catherine. While appointing peers gives Starmer more influence in the Lords, it doesn’t change Labour’s position in the House of Commons, where the real power to make laws lies. Although this move could help reduce the Conservative majority in the Lords, some may argue that it contradicts Starmer’s commitment to reforming the House of Lords.

I find it very scary to be honest that he will have any say as my understanding poor on politics one thing me personally sees and feels starmer is definitely not for the uk and shouldn't be given any more power in a realistic world hope your well and have a merry Christmas

Catherine, you don’t need to be deeply involved in politics to see that many are disappointed with the Labour government. People from all walks of life, rich or poor, feel let down. Recent polls show that nearly half of Labour voters share this frustration, believing the government has fallen short of expectations since taking office.
I personally hope that 2025 brings brighter days for everyone, with a future filled with hope, stability, and the long-awaited answers that countless individuals need about what lies ahead for disabled people. Wishing you and your daughter a very Happy Christmas. xx
