Well the day has arrived when I finally made my UC claim-been stressed ever since I received my letter on Oct 7th-now it's done -filled out the to do list -left my messages about migrating from the Esa support group and my transitional payments-also my housing APA claim-now it's more waiting until I find out -if ever the government thought of a way to Increase your stress and already fragile Mental health - this transition to UC definitely has to be it

The system should now automatically detect that you were in the Support Group as that changed a few weeks ago.
Whether there’s any entitlement to Transitional Protection will depend on the figures between your current benefits and UC entitlement. If UC is less then TP is included to make sure you’re not work off at the time of migration.
It’s stressful for a a lot of people because of fear of the unknown. We’ve some feedback from some members to say their claim was very straightforward, which is good to hear.
If entitled to TP don’t be too alarmed if it’s not included in your first statement. They very often don’t calculate it in time for this. When this happens your statement will be recalculated quite quickly to include TP.

I'm still advising people to write a Journal note and allow several weeks for ESA status to be confirmed.
I helped someone migrating very recently who did remember a section on the application about ESA, but they were still asked for a Fit Note a week later.

kimmy87--i was actually told In my application that I wouldn't need a fit note because I'm on ESA -I left a journal note to say I was migrating from ESA Support group so I'm expecting to be placed in LCWRA -but again it's the wait that's the stressful part -until the old meets the new it's a waiting game

Poppy123456 -will not my ESA and Housing Benefit automatically continue for 2 weeks after today ?

Poppy123456 I think what I'm confused with my first statement is due on the 28th of Jan -if im awarded transitional payments will I receive a statement in 2 weeks to show I've been paid these payments ?

Are you talking about the two week run on payment for ESA & HB?
They won't effect your UC and will be paid from ESA & HB into your bank account as normal.
You are confusing the terminology with Transitional Protection, which tops up your UC award if it's lower than legacy benefit entitlement. Sometimes they don't calculate it in time for your first payment.

kimmy87-yes thanks the 2 week run on is what I'm getting mixed up with -so the 2 week run on ESA and HB payments will not appear in my statement and I'll receive my ESA on my normal day into my bank account -my last ESA payment was received on the 19th December-now I understand those are different to my TP payments

The 2 week run on will not appear on your UC statement.
