I had a video assessment for PIP on 13th December. I have been trying to find its progress and I have now been told the application has been passed to a section that checks the assessor did his job right. This is done randomly apparently but just adds more time to the whole process. Do I have anything to worry about. If the assessor can't do the job properly they shouldn't be doing it.

No there is nothing to worry about. A certain percentage of assessments will be audited as part of the assessment providers internal processes.

hi and welcome to the community I would recommend that you visit the coffee lounge to have a general chat or the games room for some fun.

In terms of the PIP assessment I don't think you have anything to worry about and if your Pip runs out before the decision is made they extend it by a year. I think it's just something they do internally to make sure everything is done correctly. Unfortunately for you this means it will take longer to get your result is this right please correct me if I'm wrong fellow community members.

Yes it will delay the decision unfortunately.

There are no timescales for the audit process to be complete.

Then up to 12 weeks once audit is completed and it's passed to the DWP for a decision.

It's a joke and no wonder this country is not going but has gone to the dogs. I should have said I have just arrived at Dover in a dingy and I would have got everything but because I am British I will end up getting nothing

Hi @Leon3004. Just wanted to say welcome. 🙂

I hope you don't mind but I've updated the post title to include some detail from your question. Just to help others on the forum easily identify what the post is about. They may have some input that's helpful, or even benefit from the responses if they're having a similar experience. I hope that's ok.

    All the best,

    Holly.

Here we go again! 🙄 I'm sorry but your thoughts are just not correct here. There's no benefits entitlement for those coming from another country.

All they receive is about £49/week and this has to cover everything! If your accommodation includes meals then all you will receive is £8.86 per week, per person in your household. There's also a small amount extra for pregnant women or mothers with young children aged 3 and under. I wouldn't really call that getting everything.

You can see all the details here.
