Universal Credit Migration Notice
Hi all,
I’ve just made my application to move onto UC from ESA Support group, I was asked to go in to the job centre for a identity verification standard check but I am unable to go in due to health reasons and have never had to go in whilst on ESA, is this normal? I did have someone phone in and request a home visit instead which has been requested so just waiting on hearing back for this. It’s so frustrating because I thought the move over would be simple and they wouldn’t do this but we was told as it is a new claim.

All new claimants for UC (including those migrating) need to go through ID verification.
There might be a long wait for a home visit, you can request a telephone call for a biographical id check. This involves asking questions only you'd know the answers to.
