Will I lose transitional protection if I move home?

I've already migrated from ESA to UC recently and I receive transitional protection. But I don't receive any Housing Costs element from UC because I live in support assisted accommodatio due to disability, therefore my local authority still pays Housing Benefit.
I would like to know if in the future I moved home and needed to start claiming Housing Costs element from UC because I'm no longer eligible for Housing Benefit, would this now take all of my transitional protection? I'm not intending on moving home for a couple years but if I would lose all my transitional protection that would be a detterrent.

Your Transitional Protection would reduce by your rent amount, if you moved amd started claiming Housing Element.
However in some circumstances, such as a move to different supported housing provision, you would still get Housing Benefit.

Thank you for clearing that up. I suspected that would be the case but was hoping it wouldn't be. I guess transitional protection will erode naturally if UC keeps going up in line with inflation. Might not have much of it left in a couple years if I do need to move so won't be as big a hit.

Yes Transitional Protection erodes over time. When elements increase this year your TP will decrease by the same amount so you won't be any better off.
