Assessment

Hi guys, hope you are all OK. So I reapplied for pip on the 6th of november I sent it on the 3rd of December. Today I called the health professionals to find out any update and she told me I have a phone assessment pending..then she said oh I have an appointment this Thursday would you like it. I have previously had one last year and know what they are like but my anxiety is actually thru the roof she said they will ask you about medication so please have a list ready.
Anyway my post is really just for advice on the assessment experience because I know it's different for everyone... also quite shocked it's moved as quickly as it has as last time it took 6mths to get to this stage...my medication has increased since I applied and my condition got worse and have had to leave my job. Is it worth saying I had to leave my job due to my health as last time the lady who did my previous assessment used that against me in my claim.

Hi @troublethomas, you can mention anything you think will be relevant including what happened with your work.
They ask different people different questions, so it's hard to prepare sometimes. But some people find it's helpful to have some notes written down so they don't forget the important points. If you have a copy of what you wrote when you applied, that can sometimes be handy to have too. But don't worry if you haven't got that, a few notes about your conditions and how they affect you day-to-day are often just as good.
Just try to answer their questions with as much detail as you can and hopefully it'll go by nice and quickly. I'm sure some other members will have some advice to share too ☺️
Good luck, hope it all goes well!
