Hi, my name is nikki985! didn't know about changing circumstances
hi please help. I didn't know about changing circumstances I’ve been claiming carers allowance and universal credit almost 2 years. I’m having a telephone an interview in 2weeks from dwp about my carers? I genuinely thought I was getting the right amount and everything was as it should be. Am I going to get in trouble ?

I’m so worried infact when I was awarded carers I phoned uc and told them about it I’m usless with technology and i didn’t know What I was doing with my journal it was all new but I did tell them on call, back in may when I checked my journal and I answered my to do list I stated there I get dla carers allowance none the wiser that they didn’t know… it was normal and I thought everything was above board. Sorry for the messages but I am a single mum have 4 children who are my life my son is disabled I genuinely would never commit fraud but I’m scared they will think that

Are you sure this is about your carers allowance? Have you asked you to provide 4 months of bank statements?
They are reviewing millions of people that claim UC but it's not because they are carers. It's to check that their UC claim is correct.
On your UC monthly statements do they include a deduction of £354.90? If so then that's the deduction for carers allowance when you claim UC.
