UC bank statement review

Hi there,
I've been requested to provide 4 months of bank statements, which is fine. I manage all household finances (my partner transfers his share and I make the payments accordingly) and there's no profit or savings over £6k, but I'm down as single claimant, will this be an issue?

Yes, there will be issues If you are living with your partner then you should be claiming UC as a couple.
If you don't live with them and they have their own home but they stay with you sometimes then that's fine and being a single claimant is correct.

Thanks for your reply.
Will it help if I declare a change in circumstances before submitting the bank statements?

Will I receive a reduced payment or something worse? 😞

You need to tell them that you’ve been living with your partner and claiming as a single person.
Does your partner work? Do they have capital/savings over £16,000? Are they claiming benefits their self? If so which ones please.
How long have you lived together and how long have you claimed UC since living together?

My partner works, has no savings above £6k and does not receive any benefits.
About 4 months.

If your partner started living with you while you were claiming UC what you should have done was report a change and tell them you are now living with them. You would have then be sent a linking code.
Your partner would have needed to start a claim themselves and use the linking code to join the claims together.
Your UC entitlement would then be based on your joint circumstances. Whether there’s any entitlement will depend on their net earnings.
I can’t tell you if your UC would be less because I don’t know either of your circumstances.
You now need to report the changes as I advised above. Once you’ve done this you can put a message onto your journal and tell them exactly what’s happened.
Your claim maybe suspended in the meantime.
