How much do you need to be earning before you no longer have to attend job centre?

Hi everyone. Happy New Year to you all.
I’m asking on behalf of someone, so hoping for advice please. A woman I know has four jobs, last year she was transferred over to UC. She regularly attends the centre and keeps being told she isn’t earning enough! Now, I don’t know her earnings, but what is the amount someone should be earning in order not to attend the centre? She gets help with housing, not sure exactly, but it’s not private accommodation, but not fully council either.
She is actively looking for another job, but is finding it difficult. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thankyou.

That will depend on her circumstances. Is she single, have children if so what is the age of the youngest child?
If she’s been through the work capability assessment and been found to have either LCW or LCWRA then she will not be expected to work so earnings wouldn’t make any difference and the AET wouldn’t apply to her anyway.

Hey Poppy. Hope you are keeping well and warm in this cold weather!
Her youngest child is 15, she hasn’t gone through LCW or LCWRA. What is AET?

All good, just found what AET means lol. Administrative Earnings Threshold. So, my friend would need to earn £892 per assessment period before she’s able to stop attending the job centre. Thanks again Poppy. Take care

I'm ok thank you and happy new year. Sorry, I had my granddaughter today and my comments are usually very rushed when I have her. 😂
I'm not too bad thank you for asking. Well, it's absolutely freezing, which I dislike. Can we have Spring now please? 🤔
I hope you're well and keeping warm too.
Glad you found the information you needed, which is correct.

It must be wonderful having your granddaughter over Poppy. I loathe Winter, and January always seems to go slow. Once Feb arrives, I can cope more, knowing Spring is just around the corner. I’m sure I was born in the wrong country🤣

Oh it definitely is, she's a cutie pie! and she's so funny too. My grandson is back in school this week so today was little quieter.
I know what you mean about the slow month. Feb being shorter does help. These dark evenings don't help either.

I've noticed the daffodils are shooting and the nights are noticeably drawing out, little by little.
Still seems a looooon time until Spring though 🌱

Yes, mine are coming up nicely in my pots in the garden. I actually did notice today when I was on my way home that it was a little lighter than usually. I honestly can't wait for those lighter nights.

I noticed them coming up in a friends garden yesterday, so looked when I got home and mine are too 😊

I think my daffy have been dug up, possibly squirrels or foxes! Definately getting lighter. You see, Spring is almost here🙂 Stay warm everyone.
