Hi, my name is cookiecookie97! Had a pip appeal in feb 2023 after wait over a year.

hi . You had a pip appeal in feb 2023 after wait over a year . It for refused and just extended until 2026 . I have limited mobility and only scored 4 points so it’s never changed since claiming. It was such a traumatic experience I’ve only just today managed to go over the letter. My question is can I still ask for thr deciding reasons used to make the decision 2 yrs on . My health also has worsened am I able to still re apply ?

You are out of time to request the Statement of Reasons and Record of Proceedings from the Tribunal. This has to be done within 1 month of the date of the decision.
Do you currently have a PIP award in payment? If you do then you can’t reapply because you already have an award. You can put in a change of circumstances. However, please be aware that you will be sent another form. Another assessment is most likely. There’s always some risk to any award you may currently have.

hi . Ahh ok. Yes I do still have a pip award but it’s never changed ( just daily living) I did a change of circumstances in 2022 unsuccessful then reconsideration also unsuccessful then waited over a year for the appeal and they only extended my pip which I didn’t handle the interview well at all and they refused to let my support worker speak( as I was so upset explaining things) so I’m unsure as what to do now . It’s been 2 years since I can contemplate looking into it again .

You should only report changes if you’re 100% sure you can score more points needed for a higher award. A worsening of condition or just claiming standard daily living doesn’t mean you could score higher.
When is your award due to end? You said 2026 and at the moment reviews usually start about 8 months before your award is due to end.

hi . I’ve just checked and the award is from March 2022-March 2026 . I was in waiting list for treatment and had some recently and am awaiting further treatment.

Hi @cookiecookie97 I can see you've had some feedback, so I wont add anything more other than to say welcome! 😊
I hope you don't mind but I've made a slight change to your post title to include some of your question so it's easy for others who might have some additional advice to find. Hope that's ok!
All the best,
Holly.

This means they will contact you about August this year and you'll be sent a review form to fill in and return. Whether you go ahead and report changes before that is entirely your decision but my advice in my previous comments still apply.
