Hello @fedupnonmum I am so sorry you are not getting understanding about your disability. If you would like to talk about your condition, there will be other members on the forum who will be able to empathise and advise how they deal with similar situations.
Please take care of yourself.

I've definitely been there! Hope you're okay @fedupnonmum. As Bluebell says, lots of us on the community will know what that's like if you need to chat about anything.

@fedupnonmum I hear you loud and clear. As someone with 12 hidden and one visual condition i say this.. In the words of one of my favourite actors, Sir Anthony Hopkins.. "What people think of me is none of my business."
I try to live by that. If they don't "understand " my decades long and life long conditions so be it.
I'm not here to explain my medical history to those who matter not.
Do not let it get to you. It's nothing but ignorance. Walk a day in our shoes.

Pain, suffering, struggle usually show themselves.

I understand you, completely.
I suffer from cluster headaches, which are not visible to anyone yet im never headache free.
No one sees the pain, brain fog, impaired cognitive abilty, fainting, side effects from meds... anxiety, worry as a result..... oh and list goes on like a spiral. I look misreable, not even realising my face is so expressive.
The amount of times a get comments like 'whats up with u, u look as if u'v chewed a wasp" etc etc,
I take everyday as it comes, from just saying saying "just had a bad night" "not well", ..... I dobt even reply, im so used to it and can not be bothered with others think (to be honest, i dont have the energy to think about anything other than getting through the day the best I can)
When you get gaps during the day when ur feeling better, get some fresh air, i dont mean go for walks as its not always an option for us guys being unwell. Just sit in your garden, or open window and look outside for while, switch rooms each time or one window that u feel good infront of.
Oh and motivational videos on youtube help me a lot. It takes my mind off the outside noise and work on me.
It might help you too.
Hope u find find something that can shut the ignorant out of YOUR mind too

And thats ok I guess, its natural to feel the fear and its good that u scream/cry it out.
I cabt remember the last time I cried, I had to hold it all in because I didnt want my kids seeing or anyone seeing me like that and now I cant cry even if i want to.
It all feels like a burden in my chest that i cant shake off... its a **** feeling to deal with.
