Pip review

I had my phone call review on the 19th December and got my last payment on the 30th.
Today I got the text ‘we’ve made our decision and you’ll receive a letter in 2 weeks’
I’ve had nothing but sleepless nights and anxiety since the 19th and I’ve tried to ring today to get them to tell me the outcome but they won’t.
when I rang it told me my next payment will be the 27th (my normal date) but the payment will be less than I normally get (I normally get £549, next payment £294.11)
My question is, is this a final payment?
do they do final payments or stop it there and then?
I’m so worried and I can’t go another two weeks like this

I recently had the text saying my PIP review was complete. I left it for a couple of days before phoning but then they told me the result over the phone. Maybe try phoning again on Friday?

did you just ask them what the decision was? I tried to explain how it was effecting me and I wouldn’t have rang otherwise and she just said I can’t tell you over the phone you need to wait for the letter

Usually when you receive that text it means they should be able to see what that decision was. Sometimes they will tell you and other times they won’t.
When I had my review decision a couple of months ago they told me what it was over the phone.
Final payments do happen if there’s a refusal, it depends when the decision was made and when you received your last payment. Although the automated payment line has been known to give incorrect information.

was it good news? I’m wondering if it’s bad news and she’s didn’t want to tell me as she didn’t want me ‘kicking off’ not that I would have

Yes, I told them I was worrying and he looked at the award letter on his computer and told me my award. I wonder if it’s best to wait a couple of days for records to be updated and available to the call centre staff? Or maybe it just depends on who answers the phone? The letter arrived quicker than the original forms even with Christmas post.

thank you for your help, I’ll try again tomorrow and see if I get better answer. The whole process is awful

For me it was yes, mine was a paper based decision, without sending my file to the health assessment providers.
As I advised earlier, I would expect them to be able to see what that decision was because if they couldn't you wouldn't have received the text. Texts are usually sent out the morning after a decision is made. By that time, they can see what that decision is.
I also had the same text as you just after 8am. I rang them as soon as they opened at 9am and was told the decision.
