I have recently sent back my PIP review form which has been received but I would like to know how long will it take for me to have a medical if I need one? My claim ends this April, I know there's a backlog but not sure if I will still get my payments after April if the review has not been completed before then.

Your award will continue until a decision is made on your review. If a decision isn't made by about 35 days before your award is due to end they will send a letter out to you to tell you your award has been extended for up to 1 year.
