Hello thankyou for responding to me,I used to be a very strong willed person had to deal with a lot of problems in my child hood and had a seriose industrial accident when I was only 19 which I also dealt with then in 2006 I had a very bad car accident (flatlined twice)and a lot of injuries when I started to get a little better all the problems from my past came flooding back,I need help but don’t really know which way to turn.
I have so many problems but doctors don’t seem to have a lot of time to see me.I understand there predicament so many people that are Sick and not enough doctors to see them.
I have never asked for help I am old school and just try to shrug things off,but with my condition and also the situation of the car crash I need help

@Denniss62 So sorry to hear that, that sounds really difficult to deal with. I can see why you'd be struggling with that. Have you tried self-referring to NHS Talking Therapies or getting a referral done with your local mental health team? They could provide sessions where you can talk to someone professional and work out/overcome how you're feeling. Obviously GP appointments are very short but I usually write what I want to say before the appointment and show them on my phone. It saves me sitting there trying to work out what to say if that makes sense.

Hi @Denniss62 and welcome to the community 🙂
It sounds like you've been through a lot and been strong for a very long time, but it's surfaced which is perfectly normal. I've been through something very similar myself. It's a very uncomfortable experience when it happens after been strong for so long but I think taking steps to tackle it, is strength.
Personally, I found talking therapy my best option for support, although it differs for everybody. It is free through the NHS too so it might be worth getting an appointment booked with your doctors, even if it's for some time in the future if they're really busy at the minute. Alternatively, you can refer yourself. I've added a link below to NHS self referral;
Find an NHS talking therapies service - NHS
I hope this helps and take care of yourself.
Best wishes,
Holly

Thankyou Holly I am going to a support hub on the 21st January I will see what happens.
I am living In a homeless hostel at this moment due to having no family, I have just been given PIP but I am a little bit dismayed they have either downgraded me on points and not listened to what I have said,due to my mental illness and disability illness’s I haven’t got the momentum to fight it, getting very tired jumping through hoops that the government throw at me.

I'm pleased you've got an appointment at the hub in the near future @Denniss62. I hope it goes ok for you.
I'm so sorry to read of your situation. Are they sorting more permanent housing? Once you get settled somewhere more permanent, hopefully that'll help with how you're feeling.
It's really disappointing to hear about your PIP award being lower. I know it's not ideal with everything you've got going on, but it might be worth challenging via mandatory reconsideration. I've added a link below to the government website that provides a bit more detail about the process, and how to do this.
You're certainly not alone in how your feeling when you mention jumping through hoops. But you've a community here to support you. We're here whenever you need us. 💛
Best wishes,
Holly.
