Motorbilty cars for drink driving drug dealers

Hi can someone explain to me how a 34 year old man with no mobility issues whatsoever, who has been banned for drink driving for 17 months & possession of 9 wraps of cocaine is entitled to a motorbility car ?

I would bet you they can't.

Once an irate woman complained to me about Motability customers getting free petrol!
Don't believe everything you hear.

Is he a carer for someone who is entitled? Sounds very strange as I’ve heard it’s a rigorous process to get a motability car

It's not difficult at all, I've been a Motability customer since 2016. Yes of course they check your driving license record before they add you as a named driver and if there's any issues or there's been a ban then you may not be allowed to be a named driver on a mobility vehicle.

If he's claiming either Enhanced mobility PIP/ADP or high rate mobility DLA then yes he can have a mobility vehicle because he can have a named driver. Not everyone that has a mobility vehicle are able to drive. Many people have named drivers.
He may not have mobility issues such as physical ones BUT he could have some mental health or cognitive issues which would mean he could score points in following and planning a journey. This has nothing to do with physical health conditions.

It's really sad that we judge others like this way isn't it.
There are invisible conditions. I have such a condition, I qualify for a car.
