Hi, my name is Stillwaiting22! still waiting for tribunal payment 6 weeks later.
Hello everyone, my husband won the tribunal case on 03 Dec 24 after almost 2 years of appeal. Many mistakes made on their behalf and it looks like we are still having issues that no one can tell us specifically what they are.
We were told by the tribunal judge we would have the money and backdated pay by 24 Dec 24 and we are still waiting. The account has been suspended and the advisor said it looks like another error on their part. Promised call backs never happen and I am exhausted chasing them all the time. No letter confirming the award. No phone calls. No money at all 6.5 weeks after the tribunal ruled in our favour.
My husband has fought for this country and they have let him down badly. I just want an end to all this now. It shouldn’t have taken this long but it has. What can I do please. I would love to hear your advice. Thank you.

Is this for PIP or a different benefits? Regardless, It was wrong of the Judge to advise you that you would receive the money owed by 24th December. Once the Tribunal make their decision a letter is sent to DWP to confirm what that decision was, it's then out of the Judges hand and down to DWP to put the award into payment and pay what is owed. This can take anything up to about 8 weeks, sometimes longer. Don't forget there were also closing days for Xmas and the new year which would add to the waiting times.
Sometimes DWP will request the Statement of Reasons and Record of Proceedings and if they do that it will delay the process of paying what is owed even further.
Once it reaches 8 weeks, if you still haven't heard anything and you have no joy when you ring them you should contact your local MP who will hopefully contact them on your husbands behalf.

Hey there @Stillwaiting22 and welcome to the community. 😊
It's great to hear your husband won his award, that's amazing news! As Poppy has said, unfortunately it's not up to the judge to say when payments are made and sometimes the DWP really likes to kick their heels over them. But if it reaches 8 weeks, yes get back in touch with them to chase it up.

Yes, it was for PIP. I will wait another 10 days for the 8 weeks to be up then.
Thank you for your replies. Much appreciated.1 -
No problem at all, I hope it can get sorted out as soon as possible for you both. Will you let us know how you get on please?
