Should I inform PiP that I keep Falling
Over the past six months I have a few falls only when going down stairs..My knee locks up and the doctor said there is damage to the right knee area. I am having steroid injections in both knees every other month to help. So I not sure if to inform pip of this I am on the lower entitlement and not receiving mobility pip from being granted the lower payment 4 years ago. Any advice is most welcome. Thank you for your time.

Hey @Topcat71 really sorry to hear about the falls, I really hope the injections are helping at least?
If you feel the issues will affect your award, then it could be worth mentioning it, though this will probably lead to a new assessment. Though it sounds like that could work in your favour.0 -
Hi,
Unfortunately PIP doesn't take stairs into consideration. The walking distances for the Mobility descriptor are only considered on flat ground.
There is no need to inform them of this. But if you believe you could now score enough points for a higher award overall, then you can choose to make a change of circumstances, which will trigger another assessment. Please only do this if you are fairly sure of qualifying for the extra points.
