Hi, my dad is my carer he’s just gone into hospital, with an infection do I have to tell Dwp, he only went in last night as is expected to be home in a couple days week max.

    Hi,

    Your own benefits won't be affected by this. Assuming he gets Carers Allowance, DWP would only need to be told if he is in hospital for more than 12 weeks.
