How long does it take for a pip renewal to be made? I got the forms on 26 September and sent them off in October they got there on the 17. I rang the dwp pip department and said they received them on the 17 of October. It said to send them between 26 of September and 26 of October. Which I did. My daughter pip ends at the end of March. She gets high rate. Someone here had me very worried because they said u should have sent them in 2 weeks not ten days before the 26 of October but if I sent them in between the dates stated on the form September 26 and October 26. Which they got there before the cut-off date of October 26. The Department of works and pensions PIP department said they received on the 17 of October because they sent me a reminder letter on October 16. So I'm just to see how long it takes.

    There are extremely long delays for review decisions so you could be waiting anytime up to about a year. My review took about 11 months in total.

    Your PIP will continue until a decision is made on the review. If a decision hasn't been made by the time your PIP is due to end they will send a letter out telling you it's been extended for up to 1 year.
