This means you had a paper based assessment.
The assessment provider felt they had enough information without speaking to you.
Hopefully it's not too long before you hear the outcome 😊

Do you think i should call them as I wrote in my journal they said they can not help due to data protection

You can request a copy of the assessment report through your Journal, that should give you an indication of the decision.

You would need to contact the assessment provider to get the reasons why they decided to do a paper-based assessment. Once they have sent the report to the decision maker you can request the report though as Kimmy mentions, which may state why they have chosen to do a paper-based assessment.
I hope it all goes well, we are here if you have further questions 🙂

I received a letter from the provider saying the appointment was not needed and ii has gone back to the DWP

As I explained that means your assessment was completed without an appointment. This is called a paper based assessment.
An assessment report will still be written and sent to the DWP for a decision to be made.

As kimmy has advised, you’ve had a paper based assessment because they had enough of information to write the report without an actual assessment. Now you need to wait for DWP to make a decision.
