    No as your daughter doesn't receive a qualifying benefit, you aren't eligible for SDP.

    See the Scope guide here:

    @Kimmy87 we both claim seperately and I was getting SDP while on ESA but have just migrated over UC. My daughter doesnt receive money to look after me and she comes and goes as she pleases.

    I just wandered why does my daughter need to receive a qualifying benefit for me to be eligible for SDP? As she isn’t claiming money for me but herself, UC as she’s unemployed.

    It's not payable when claiming UC. Does your daughter live with you? If so then are you sure your ESA included this? If it did then it shouldn't have been because she's treated as a non dependant and doesn't claim a disability benefit herself so she's expected to look after you due to living together.

    I would expect your ESA to have been £159.05 per week. (£318.10/fortnight) Before deductions.

    @pri

    When I was on income-related ESA I was no eligible for SDP despite not having anybody claiming CA for me. It was not until the family member with whom I lived needed to claim Attendance Allowance that I became entitled to SDP because AA is a qualifying benefit
