I am a 72 year old disabled pensioner, former electrician, I have damaged my knees and ankles and I'm having difficulties in walking.

I was awarded PIP in August 2022, the decision papers were sent to my address, but that was almost three years ago I now need proof of my PIP award and cannot find the decision letter anywhere, Is it possible to download a copy of my file from a DWP site ?

I have spent hours and days, ringing at different times, ringing the 0800 121 4433 number and not even getting an answer, I presume they are all working from home, I am at my wits end with this I'm begining to stress I've had to increase my beta blocker dose. There must be an answer to this problem, can anybody please help!

Thanks for listening, Jon.

New claims for PIP can't be made over State Pension age, which at age 69 in 2022 you would have been.

Was there a typo in your age or was your question about Attendance Allowance?

You can request copies of personal information online, but they'll take quite a few weeks to send it out.

Long waits on the telephone are sadly common, I find it best (once in the queue) to put the phone on loudspeaker, place it next to me and get on with something else.

    Thanks for replying Kimmy,

Its not a new claim, I want a copy of the successful claim that I made in August 2022.

I have just used the link that you left to DWP, So I'm hoping I will get a response from them.

The wait time on telephone calls are really ridiculous, there should be a law against it.

    Thanks again Jon

Oh okay you must have meant a successful review in 2022 of an existing claim 😊

I agree the waiting times on the phone are ridiculous.
