New PIP review form 2025

Hi does anyone have any advice on filling in the new PIP Review form that began November 2024.

The questions are different and provide only a small space to answer rather than the A4 layout to elaborate and give details as on othe original form.

They don't ask if you have stayed the same or are worse, as was the case with the old PIP Review.

There's never enough of room on any form that you fill in so for this reason you should use extra sheets of paper. Please make sure you include your name and NI number on everything you send.

The form should be treated as a new claim and you should include as much relevant information as possibly. I personally think the new forms are better than the previous ones because it stops people from just writing no change and no further information.

It seems the new AR1 Review form questions don't encourage you to elaborate and provide the necessary details needed.

That looks like a better form as they have actually asked you if you need prompting separately.

Then need help from another person.

Hi, you could be right! I thought the new Review AR1 form looked like it was going to be shorter than the original PIP2 form I first filled out over 2 years ago; pages and pages of hand written additional sheets for each activity.

But as you pointed out it has separated the:-Prompting/Help/ How often for each activity.

It just a bit daunting going through this again so soon it feels. (2¼ years into a 3 year award)

Yes, I've seen a sample of the form. Why do you think it doesn't let you elaborate? Of course you can, just include more information by using extra sheets of paper. When I fill out any form whether it's PIP2 or a review form, I will always use extra sheets.

As Poppy says, you can always write more on an extra sheet of your own paper. Don't feel limited by the space they have provided!

Do you have someone who can help you through the form @DawnyD? That helps me a lot!

I Have 8 different consultants all for different conditions so have a lot of information to pull together

When I look back at my original application 2 years ago it was very longwinded and rambling, and I can now see that I can split the answers with the separated criteria questions.

I don't have anybody to help with this but I feel like I have a handle on how to approach this form. But I've already had an extension and I'm hoping DWP will give me another extension as I'm starting over again!
