Volunteer

hello
I applied for a 2 hour volunteer online as a moderator so 2 hours a week no phone calls included just answering messages. Which would be good for me as it’s at home I don’t have to talk to anyone or do much really . Now I’m on pip and LCWRA , they do not interfere my reasons why I am on these at all but I’ve already started crying because I’m wondering if now if I get it will I be taken off them ? If so then I will not bother because I just can’t cope with stress with the DWP as they have caused me trauma .
I also have an eating disorder and am terrified it will spiral further. Please please be considerate and kind as I just don’t know what to do anymore.

You do not need to report this to UC or PIP because it's just online moderating.

I would say that if you are volunteering for an organisation as an official volunteer then it should be reported to Universal Credit.
Volunteering does not have any effect on your PIP. If your reasons for being awarded LCWRA and the work you do while volunteering contradict that could potentially cause a re-assessment. If you received LCWRA because you are agoraphobic for example, but the volunteer position does not require you to go outside at all, then they do not contradict.
If you are unsure about whether they contradict you could tell us a little about why you received LCWRA, no pressure to if you feel uncomfortable though!

thanks . I was on ESA then was granted LCWRA ( a year ago )have been on this as in the not able to work for about 10 years now due to anxiety depression, I have kyphosis of the spine , I’m autistic and have sensory issues , being in crowds. Etc I have PMDD , eating disorders. I have days I can’t get out of bed or talk to anyone. Hope that helps . I think am going to just leave it anyway as I am just not doing great mentally and don’t feel I can offer anything.

I don't think doing some online moderation would contradict any reason you were given LCWRA status. I do think you would be totally fine to do that, whether it's as a formal volunteer or informally.
I understand not being mentally well and feeling like you can't offer anything, but you would be surprised. You could have a talk with the organisation about how you are doing and there may be ways they can help you volunteer and be mindful of your mental health while volunteering too.
